Der geheimnisumwitterte Sergio Larrain (1931–2012) – man könnte ihn den Fotograf der Fotografen nennen. Aus der Perspektive eines Landstreichers gelangen dem Chilenen atemberaubende Aufnahmen, die größtenteils in den 1950er-und 1960er-Jahren entstanden: Dramatisches Licht, tiefe Schatten, experimentelle Bildausschnitte prägen seine ungeschönten, einfühlsamen Schwarz-Weiß-Bilder von Prostituierten, Straßenkindern oder Bettlern, die stets doch ein Hauch von Poesie umgibt. Sergio Larrain wurde auf Einladung seines Freundes Henri Cartier-Bresson bereits 1961 Vollmitglied der Agentur Magnum Photos, entzog sich aber der Kooperation mit den Medien. In Zusammenarbeit mit Larrains Erben entstand so erst jetzt die erste Publikation, die einen Überblick über das bahnbrechende Werk dieses unabhängigen Geistes gewährt. Natürlich zeigt sie auch Bilder aus Valparaiso, seinem wohl berühmtesten Buchprojekt, zu dem kein Geringerer als Pablo Neruda den Begleittext schrieb.Ausstellung/Exhibition: Kunstfoyer Versicherungskammer Kulturstiftung, München/Munich 25.3.–9.6.2014

Reliable Heat Tape That Works Perfectly – No Residue and Great Value!

I bought the MEBMIK heat tape for my heat press projects, and it’s been fantastic so far. The tape holds up well under high temperatures without melting or peeling, which is exactly what I needed for heat sublimation and vinyl pressing.
What really impressed me is that it leaves no sticky residue on my materials, so I don’t have to worry about ruining my projects or cleaning up afterward. The tape is also easy to tear by hand and sticks firmly during pressing.
With 4 rolls included, this pack gives me plenty of tape for all my projects, and the price is great compared to buying smaller amounts elsewhere. If you’re doing heat press work and need reliable, heat-resistant tape, this is a great choice.
