There's the moment a small dog stops at the foot of the bed and waits — head tilted up, weight back on the haunches, the small calculation of whether to attempt the jump. PawStep is for the moment after that one.

Memory foam · Removable cover No assembly · No power Free worldwide tracked delivery

PawStep is a four-piece run of memory foam pet stairs in two-tone fabric — soft grey on the treads, black on the structural sides — for dogs and cats that can't or don't want to jump onto a bed or a sofa. The foam is dense enough to take a small pet's weight without bottoming out and soft enough that paws sink slightly with each step, which makes the stairs quiet to use and forgiving on a clumsy landing.

It's a quiet product. It is not a framed orthopedic stair set with a wood or plastic core — those exist, and if you have a Labrador or a Golden Retriever they're the right answer. PawStep is for the smaller end of the household: a dachshund who has stopped trying, a cat that doesn't want to spring down from the back of the couch any more, a Yorkie graduating from being lifted up to climbing on her own.

RIGHT FOR
  • Small and medium dogs (under approx. 15 kg / 33 lb)
  • Cats of any size
  • Pets that can't or don't want to jump up
  • Beds and sofas up to 46 cm tall
NOT RIGHT FOR
  • Large or heavy dogs (over 15 kg) — foam compresses permanently
  • Outdoor or wet-paw use — fabric cover, indoor only
  • Beds taller than 46 cm — a ramp gives a gentler gradient
At a glance
  • Memory foam interior with a two-tone fabric cover (grey treads, black sides). Cover lifts off for hand-washing.
  • Four sizes: 2-step (31 cm tall), 3-step short (35 cm), 3-step tall (40 cm), 4-step (46 cm). Match the size to the height of your bed or sofa.
  • 40 cm wide across all sizes — sized for indoor use against a sofa or bed.
  • No assembly, no power, no tools.
  • Ships vacuum-compressed. Allow 2–4 days for the foam to return to full shape after unboxing.

A few moments PawStep is made for

The morning bed The small dog who used to be lifted up, learning to come up the stairs herself.
The evening sofa The cat that doesn't want to jump down from the back of the couch any more.
A quieter house No clatter of plastic stairs against the floor at three in the morning.

Choosing the right size

Pick the size by bed height, not by pet size. Measure from the floor to the top of the mattress or sofa cushion, then choose the version whose top step lines up — the top tread should sit roughly level with where you want your pet to land.

  • 2-step — 31 cm tall, 39 cm deep. For low sofas and ottomans.
  • 3-step short — 35 cm tall, 55 cm deep. For standard sofas.
  • 3-step tall — 40 cm tall, 59 cm deep. For low beds and tall sofas.
  • 4-step — 46 cm tall, 71 cm deep. For standard-height beds.

If your bed is taller than 46 cm, a stair set isn't the right answer — a ramp gives a gentler gradient. We don't currently stock pet ramps, but a quick search will turn up several decent options. We'd rather lose the sale than put you in a stair set that's too short for your bed.

About the foam

The interior is a single block of memory foam shaped into stepped tiers. It compresses slightly underfoot, which is what gives PawStep its quiet, deliberate feel — paws sink, the stair takes the weight, the pet moves on. The cover is a two-tone textured fabric, grey on the surfaces that take pressure and black on the structural sides, and lifts off for hand-washing.

Memory foam is honest about what it is. It will compress permanently under heavy or repeated load over time — which is why we keep PawStep firmly in the small-to-medium-dog and cat bracket, and not in the large-breed range. If your dog is over about 15 kg / 33 lb, the steps will lose their shape within months and stop working as steps. There are sturdier framed-stair products built for that buyer, and we'd rather point you to one than sell you the wrong product.

A few honest notes:

Ships vacuum-compressed. The product arrives flat in a sealed bag — pull it out, lay it down, and give it 2 to 4 days to return to full shape. This is normal. Don't return a flat foam pancake; it will stand up. We mention this twice on this page because it's the most common surprise.

Best for pets under approx. 15 kg / 33 lb. Above that weight, the foam compresses permanently within months. If your dog is bigger, a framed-stair product is the right buy.

Indoor use only. Fabric cover and foam interior — wet paws and weather will ruin it.

Hand-wash the cover. Warm soapy water, air-dry. The foam interior should not be washed.

We don't make joint, hip, mobility, or senior-pet health claims about this product. It's a soft step that helps a pet that can't or won't jump up onto things. That's the whole story. If your pet has a specific medical condition, your vet is the right person to ask whether stairs help.

Frequently asked

Is this suitable for a senior or arthritic dog?

It's an accessibility product, not a medical one. We don't make claims about joint or mobility benefits because we don't have the veterinary evidence to back them up — and the pet category is flooded with retailers that do, often without basis. What we can say honestly: if your dog is small enough (under about 15 kg) and the issue is that the jump up to the bed has become awkward, a soft step makes the climb gentler. Whether that helps a particular health condition is a conversation for your vet.

It arrived flat. Is that right?

Yes. It's vacuum-compressed for international shipping. Pull it out of the bag, lay it on the floor, and give it 2 to 4 days. It will return to full shape on its own. Don't try to help by twisting or stretching the foam — it just needs time and air.

My dog is 25 kg. Will it work for him?

Honestly, no. Memory foam at this thickness will compress permanently under a 25 kg dog within months and the steps will go flat. PawStep is for cats and small-to-medium dogs under about 15 kg. For a bigger dog, look at framed pet stairs with a wood or plastic core — we don't currently stock those, but they're easy to find.

Which size do I need?

Measure the bed or sofa from the floor to the top of the cushion or mattress. Pick the size whose top step is closest to that height — 31 cm for low sofas, 35 cm for standard sofas, 40 cm for low beds, 46 cm for standard beds. If you're between sizes, the smaller of the two usually works better than the bigger one — pets prefer a small last-step jump-up to a top stair that's taller than the bed.

Is the cover removable for washing?

Yes — the foam interior lifts out and the cover is hand-washable in warm soapy water. Air-dry only; don't tumble dry. The foam itself should not be washed.

Will my pet actually use it?

Most do, given a few days. Place the stairs firmly against the side of the bed or sofa with no gap, and lure your pet up the first few times with a treat at the top. Pets that haven't used stairs before sometimes try to jump over them on the first attempt — once they've made the climb once or twice, the habit forms quickly.

Has Potential, Poorly Executed
Format: Kindle
I really really wanted to enjoy this book and was looking forward to reading it. However there were just one too many convoluted plot points, sentences just did not flow nicely at times, and I was left with a lot of confusion on my end. I think it has the bones of being a great story but seems like it was rushed and I had to push myself to finish the last of the book and was left with an unsatisfying ending. It’s definitely different from other omegaverse novels I’ve read but not for good reasons. I really think it could be great but needs some serious tweaking and editing before I’d read it again.

Fantastic writing and non-stop action
Format: Kindle
This is a promising, fantastic beginning to what will be a 4-book series. Some readers may be content to read only the first 2 books, but I think you'll find that the story is so good that you'll want to keep reading books 3 and 4. Book 1 is about omega Elvana's introduction to the "Starling" brothers and their search for another missing person, Kelly. It's a bit of a rocky start, with deception and betrayal a key element. Hardly an auspicious beginning. Each member has their own path and purpose in the pack. Their interactions and the resulting narrative are so well-written that I found it difficult to put down. There is a cliffhanger that will have you reaching for book 2 as you finish, so make sure you have it on hand.

Fun read
Format: Kindle
I'm not really into mafia books but I love Roxy Collin's other series so I decided to give it a try. It had the same great romance, spice, swoon-worthy characters and exciting plot that are her signature. Arben was my favorite, although it was a bit sudden how quickly he changed from ignoring her to wanting to be pack. There were almost too many twists/layers of lies to keep track of but I'm looking forward to reading the other books. The only thing that detracted from the story for me was the need for a bit more proofreading. It was mentioned that Kelly is a female and male at different points, leading me to think she changed her mind at some point about the character's gender but didn't go back and edit it to align in all places. Like another reviewer pointed out, step siblings are different than half siblings. They are incorrectly referred to as step siblings because they (allegedly) share the same biological dad. There are a few other typos as well but those aren't a big deal.

Stepbrothers, Secrets, and Sizzling Heat
Format: Kindle
Twisted Lies by Roxy Collins is a wild ride through family secrets, amnesia, and a steamy stepbrother romance. When Kelly discovers her life is built on lies, she ends up tangled with three alpha stepbrothers and an assassin who once helped her through a heat. The tension? Off the charts! The heat is real, and the complications are messy in the best way. Full of twists, secrets, and fated mates? You'll be hooked from page one! Love omegaverse drama with a dash of taboo? This one's for you!
