The sturdy design of the unit begins with the concealed flange mounting brackets and wall plate, both of which are made of type-304, 16-gauge (1.6-millimeter) stainless steel. The flange and the support arms are also made of type-304 stainless steel, but are 22 gauge or .8 millimeters in thickness.
