Il est maintenant temps d'aller au-delà de la noirceur profonde de l'espace dans l'univers vraiment inconnu...

Dans Tiny Epic Galaxies: Beyond the Black, les joueurs ont accès à quatre nouveaux navires sur lesquels ils peuvent mettre à niveau leurs navires d'origine. Pour ce faire, ils devront embaucher des pilotes spécialisés. Il existe de nombreux pilotes à embaucher, chacun possédant une capacité spéciale unique. Les pilotes sont également spécialisés dans les navires qu'ils sont formés à utiliser. Embaucher le bon pilote pour un navire réduit le coût de ce pilote. Plus un pilote est spécialisé dans le nombre de vaisseaux, plus sa capacité spéciale est faible. Les pilotes sont embauchés en dépensant des dés inutilisés qui correspondent aux quatre types de navires différents et valent des points de victoire pendant le jeu. Les pilotes sont mélangés dans un jeu et répartis comme des planètes.

De plus, Tiny Epic Galaxies: Beyond the Black introduit une option d'exploration pour les joueurs. Cela permet aux joueurs de s'aventurer au-delà des planètes et dans l'espace lointain où ils pourraient rencontrer des planètes naines valant des points de victoire, ou des matériaux rares qui produisent des ressources... ou ils peuvent rencontrer des menaces cosmiques comme des tempêtes solaires, des trous noirs et même des supernovas. Dans tous les cas, l'exploration de l'espace profond fournit au joueur des badges d'exploration. Ces badges sont comptés à la fin du jeu et les joueurs reçoivent des points de victoire bonus en fonction de qui a le plus d'un certain type de badge. Ce sont quatre types de badges à collectionner.
