The Devil's Candy: The Anatomy of a Hollywood FiascoWhen Brian De Palma agreed to allow Julie Salamon unlimited access to the film production of Tom Wolfe's best selling book The Bonfire of the Vanities, both director and journalist must have felt like they were on to something big. When Brian De Palma agreed to allow Julie Salamon unlimited access to the film production of Tom Wolfe's best-selling book The Bonfire of the Vanities, both director and journalist must have felt like they were on to something big. How could it lose? But instead Salamon got a front-row seat at the Hollywood disaster of the decade. She shadowed the film from its early stages through the last of the eviscerating reviews, and met everyone from the actors to the technicians to the studio executives. They'd all signed on for a blockbuster, but there was a sense of impending doom from the start--heart-of-gold characters replaced Wolfe's satiric creations; affable Tom Hanks was cast as the patrician heel; Melanie Griffith appeared mid-shoot with new, bigger breasts. With a keen eye and ear, Salamon shows us how the best of intentions turned into a legendary Hollywood debacle. The Devil's Candy joins John Gregory Dunne's The Studio, Steven Bach's Final Cut, and William Goldman's Adventures in the Screen Trade as a classic for anyone interested in the workings of Hollywood. With a new afterword profiling De Palma ten years after the movie's devastating flop (and this book's best-selling publication), Julie Salamon has created a riveting insider's portrait of an industry where art, talent, ego, and money combine and clash on a monumental scale.Binding Type: Paperback

Just don’t do it
Flavor Name: Original Coarse Sugar, Size: 1.86 Pound (Pack of 1)
Be aware this is like drinking dry grass and water that very quickly turns to gelatin. I can’t imagine the Navy seal that must be able to do this. You would have to be trained for torture in order to enter this stuff.. Unless you were hellbent on suffering, avoid this like the plague. Absolute waste of my money.

Great!
Color: 2-Pack White, Color: 2-Pack White
I wish I’d have taken a before photo. But imagine a bunch of spices, on a little spice shelf that makes a U formation and a bunch of spices in the middle. So many spices. So much maneuvering to find the right one.
This- this is great! Organized, easy to see, reach. Neat. Excellent investment. It doesn’t even look like I have a lot in there, but I have 46 spices in there! And you’ll notice my cabinet has a lip. Easily fixed with a small piece of wood to raise the item.

Well thought out and easy to install
Color: 2-Pack Black, Color: 2-Pack Black
Definitely organizes and maximizes cabinet space for spice storage. It’s a little rickety. If you are using glass spice jars you will likely need to use the included screws into the cabinet because the double face tape it comes with might not hold up. It might work with the plastic spice containers, but even then it seems like it would not be sturdy enough to hold the weight. The instructions were clear and it installed quickly. If it lasts, it was definitely a value upgrade in my cabinet.
