For sew-on option, you can attach by:

- fabric glue (permanent)
- safety-pin
For iron-on option:
You can also get have this patch with iron-on backing  so you can simply iron it on to a tie. Just make sure to read the tie's care instructions that the tie can be ironed with medium heat. Also, this is a permanent adhesive meaning the patch cannot be removed afterward.
