Sweet Bay Magnolia is a native multi-trunk evergreen tree with large fragrant cup shaped white flowers that bloom in spring and occasionally into summer.  The foliage is deep green with silvery undersides.  Best color in full sun and moist, slightly-acidic, well-drained soil.  

Magnolia virginiana is a host plant for the Tiger, Spicebush, and Palamedes Swallowtail butterflies as well as the Sweetbay Silkmoth.  The seeds, sap, and nectar of attracts pollinators and small mammals as well.

She hunts out all the bunnies and then brings the carrot to me to refill. I refill it, and then she takes the refilled carrot back to her spot and hunts them all out again. This dog is a ferocious chewer but she doesn't chew these toys! It's like she instinctively knows they are for hunting, not chewing. As a result, they have lasted a long time and provide hours of quality fun. Great value!
