Although they actually have been around for over a hundred years, it has become a very familiar term recently. People put their affirmations on their mirrors, vision boards and places that they might see them daily.
In my painting AffirMEtions, I wanted to illustrate a motivating whimsical display of positive thoughts that a young person -or anyone -would benefit from (like my granddaughter). I believe that when we choose our personal affirmations, they come from our heart, things that we already are - deep down. Reading them everyday brings them to the surface, and becomes our AffirMEtions.
