The HPE Broadcom BCM57504 Ethernet 10/25Gb 4-port SFP28 Adapter is a high-density, enterprise-grade NIC designed to supercharge HPE servers with four independent 10/25Gb SFP28 connections. Built on Broadcom’s NetXtreme architecture, this PCIe add-in card unlocks flexible, ultra-fast networking right at the server edge, delivering outstanding throughput for dense data center deployments, virtualization workloads, and high-traffic applications. Whether you are consolidating workloads, accelerating storage networks, or deploying hyper-converged infrastructure, this 4-port SFP28 adapter provides the bandwidth, reliability, and manageability you need to scale confidently.

  • High-density 4-port 10/25Gb Ethernet: Four SFP28 ports deliver up to 25Gb per port, enabling multi-link aggregation, network segmentation, and high-performance connectivity without sacrificing slot density.
  • Flexible deployment for HPE servers: Specifically designed to integrate with HPE ProLiant, Synergy, and other HP server platforms, providing streamlined compatibility and simplified firmware and driver support through HP ecosystems.
  • Advanced offloads and virtualization support: Features Broadcom NetXtreme acceleration, enabling SR-IOV, Virtual NICs, VLAN offloads, RSS, and other virtualization optimizations to improve VM density and traffic isolation.
  • OS and management readiness: Broad OS support across Windows Server and popular Linux distributions, with driver updates and management through HP/HPE utilities and standard network management tools.
  • Reliability and enterprise-grade usability: Built for data centers with robust firmware update paths, driver stability, warranty options, and HP support for firmware, security patches, and interoperability testing.

how to install HPE Broadcom BCM57504 Ethernet 10/25Gb 4-port SFP28 Adapter for HPE

  • Step 1: Power down the server and disconnect power cords. Remove the server cover according to the manufacturer’s instructions to access the PCIe slots.
  • Step 2: Identify a compatible PCIe slot (typically PCIe x8) and ensure there is adequate clearance for the card’s height (full-height or low-profile, depending on chassis).
  • Step 3: Install the BCM57504 adapter into the selected PCIe slot, firmly seating the card and securing it with a screw or mounting mechanism as required by the chassis.
  • Step 4: Route and connect four SFP28 transceivers or cables to the four ports. If using optical modules, ensure they are compatible with the network environment and meet the required distances.
  • Step 5: Replace the server cover, reconnect power, and boot the system. Enter the operating system and install the latest Broadcom NetXtreme drivers and HPE firmware updates from the official HP/HPE support portal or your OS vendor’s repository.
  • Step 6: Configure the NIC within the OS network manager or through the HPE network configuration utilities. Create appropriate link aggregation groups (LAGs) if needed, allocate VLANs, and enable SR-IOV or virtual functions if your virtualization environment requires them.
  • Step 7: Validate connectivity with test traffic, verify link status on all ports, and monitor performance using standard network benchmarking tools. Apply any required performance optimizations through driver options or firmware settings.

Frequently asked questions

  • What servers is this adapter compatible with? The BCM57504 4-port SFP28 adapter is designed for HP/HPE servers and is typically compatible with a broad range of ProLiant, Integrity, and BladeSystem configurations that support PCIe add-in cards. Always verify compatibility with your specific model and BIOS/UEFI version via HP/HPE support resources.
  • Can I use all four ports at 25Gb if my network supports it? Yes. Each port can operate at 10Gb or 25Gb depending on the SFP28 modules or cables used and the negotiated link with the connected device. Aggregate bandwidth can approach 100Gbps under the right conditions with link aggregation and traffic distribution.
  • What driver and OS support are available? Drivers are available for Windows Server and major Linux distributions (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE). HP/HPE and Broadcom provide driver packages and firmware updates, along with installation instructions.
  • Do I need virtualization features to use this NIC effectively? If you run virtualized workloads, enabling SR-IOV and related NIC offloads can significantly improve VM performance and network efficiency. Ensure your hypervisor and guest OS support the required features and that they are enabled in both BIOS/UEFI and the NIC driver settings.
  • What kind of maintenance and support comes with this adapter? The adapter is backed by HP/HPE warranty options and access to firmware updates, security patches, and enterprise support. Regular driver and firmware updates help maintain performance, stability, and compatibility with new network environments.

3 Star Read,
Format: Kindle
This book wasn't bad, but wasn't my cup of tea. It's highly disappointing because the storyline is so original. There is no real conflict or resolution, so the entire thing feels flat. As a lover of omegaverse books, I know there is a ton of variety out there, and ov is really up to the author. But this one is weird. Omegas have multiple scent glands all over their bodies and go into week long heats every month. Alphas have knots in the middle of their shaft instead of the base, and the knot doesn't always swell, no explanation of when or why. It doesn't engage at all when the mouth is in play. I also didn't enjoy the author's writing style. Each paragraph is only 1 or 2 sentences long, and the entire book reads very stacato. The conversations are stiff and unnatural feeling. Everything is very repetitive, both in word choice and in thought. The same thing is repeated 3 or 4 times over a single page, multiple times over. I ended up doing so much skimming. The first 50% of the book is all slow burn, and the last 50% is almost straight mediocre spice. This wouldn't have been all bad if the grammar and spelling errors didn't start at the exact same time. Tongue is repeatedly misspelled in the middle of the spice.

Cozy Omegaverse
Format: Kindle
This is the true definition of Cozy Omegaverse. LA wedding coordinator meets her pack at the location for a couple’s destination wedding. Low angst because they are scent matched high heat with heats and knots. Everything you love about this genre with very little anxiety. Simply a fun experience to read and a book I will comeback to when I’m in a slump. I simply love reading this book

Cute Omegaverse story
Format: Kindle
3.75 stars and 2 for spice. Adorable Omegaverse story about a wedding planner who has to go to a small town to plan a wedding for a movie star. While there, she meets her pack. This covers her struggles of not living there but trying to keep her relationship going with her 3 Alphas. It's a quick read and cute, so I recommend it for people who like light-hearted RH stories.

real good
Format: Kindle
This was a solid read for the ABO universe. The characters are great. The smut scenes were well written. And the town is so cute I want to go there. It didn’t have much character development it just felt like I was getting to the characters as they were getting to know each other.

So sweet
Format: Kindle
It’s so unexpectedly sweet that it sneaks up on you. Each character is so unique and charming. I love the openness and honesty among their pack. It really blows me away how wonderful this omegaverse trope plays out. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
