Empathy consists of two stories told in parallel.
Vuong is one of five Vietnamese clones that have come of age at 25. The Department in Hanoi is allowing them to meet after being separated for twenty years. Lian has murdered her foster father after being forced to eat meat. Geraldine is dying of cancer in Australia. Giang and Khanh were brought up together as twins in New Zealand and are telepathic. They have been used for research over their lifetimes. Vuong discovers that the data kept on all of them has been used to develop empathy, the latest party drug.
My meets Truong in Berlin who introduces her to empathy which makes the user supersensitive to other people’s feelings. My’s mother is a cleaner at CHESS, a multinational chemical company, and My comes to believe her mother is ex-Stasi and an industrial spy for Vietnamese government. My comes down from the drug after hearing about the saturation point when the penetration of empathy would be such that the world’s population would be pacified. She discovers that Truong is actually the one who is in the pay of the Vietnamese government and her mother is just a cleaner. She tries to out the conspiracy in the media but no one believes her…

High quality socks and very durable. Nice touch adding the grip on the back of the ankle so the sock stays up. Size is a true fit to the size of your foot as well.

Love these socks!

Comfortable, no show, and most importantly The Do No Slip!!!! I keep coming back to add to my supply because they have become the only sock I wear. I’ve been using them for a couple years now and they hold to great to washing, bleaching and the dryer. Highly recommended.

The only socks I will buy

These are hands down my favorite socks to wear with tennis shoes. Bought my original 6 pack in the store, liked them so much I went buy more and they were gone. These don't slip on your heel like most socks do. Come up high enough on the top of your foot to protect from tongue rubbing (I giggled when I wrote that) and they come in fun colors. Love they are ultra no show and provide padding but people can't see them with shoes on. Five stars!

Amazing socks but false advertising. They changed them.

Okay well I have 4 stars because these are the best socks ever, infact, I threw out all my other socks and switched to just these. No show and they never slip. THE PROBLEM NOW, all the pairs I ordered before had a white symbol, and every time I buy more they have the grey and they are not as low show as my others… I wanted to simplify life and have all the same kind, no matching of colors or slightly different shape, but 4 times now I’ve ordered white symbol and gotten thicker longer ones with gray symbols. I’m considering switching all of my socks to the gray…. But the white symbol ones are way better, they don’t show with hey dudes on and gray symbol ones do now. I’m at a loss. Can someone tell me where to buy 100 pairs of white symbol so I never need to buy another sock again in my life?
