The Black Box KVM-over-IP Switchable Extender Kit delivers reliable, flexible remote access to multiple USB peripherals across a local area network. Engineered for demanding environments—from industrial control rooms and factory floors to classrooms and conference spaces—this 4-port LAN-based extender provides seamless KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) extension with robust USB power delivery. It enables centralized control of servers, workstations, and embedded devices from a distance, while preserving USB compatibility, performance, and ease of use. Whether you’re building a central data center management station or upgrading a training lab, this extender kit helps you streamline operations, reduce downtime, and improve productivity through secure, remote hardware access.

  • Seamless KVM over IP with switchable orchestration: Access, control, and manage multiple USB devices remotely via a reliable IP-based KVM extender. The kit supports switching between connected hosts and peripherals, making it ideal for multi-user environments where centralized control improves response times and reduces on-site maintenance.
  • 4-Port versatility for complex setups: Designed to support up to four downstream USB devices or display endpoints from a single extender, enabling efficient distribution of keyboards, mice, and displays across complex classrooms, control rooms, or manufacturing floors without sacrificing performance.
  • Extended reach with reliable USB power delivery: The system is capable of extending KVM signals up to 100 meters over standard LAN cabling, while delivering up to 600 mA of power to downstream USB devices. This combination ensures stable operation of bandwidth-demanding peripherals and sensors across longer cable runs.
  • Broad USB compatibility for broad use cases: Compatible with both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 devices, allowing a wide range of peripherals—keyboards, mice, USB drives, printers, and specialized equipment—to function without driver conflicts or compatibility headaches.
  • Durable, enterprise-ready design for tough environments: Built to withstand the rigors of industrial and educational settings, the extender offers plug-and-play deployment, straightforward management, and a compact footprint that fits neatly into control rooms, classrooms, and equipment closets.

How to Install Black Box KVM-over-IP Switchable Extender Kit

  • Plan your topology: Identify the KVM host(s), display endpoints, and USB peripherals to be extended. Map which devices will be controlled remotely and how the four downstream ports will be utilized for optimal performance.
  • Connect the KVM host and peripherals: Attach the KVM host computer to the extender’s KVM input, then connect the four downstream devices or displays to the extender’s four ports. Use standard KVM cables and USB cables as required by your setup.
  • Integrate with the LAN: Connect the extender to your local network via a reliable Ethernet switch or router. Ensure the network supports the intended data rates and that any router firewall or security settings allow KVM traffic to flow between devices.
  • Power and configuration: Apply power to the extender and power-managed USB devices. If required by your deployment, configure IP addressing and basic network settings through the device’s management interface or the supplied software utility, following your IT policies.
  • Test and validate: From a workstation on the same LAN, launch the KVM client, select the appropriate port, and verify that keyboard input, video signal, mouse movement, and USB peripherals function correctly across the extended links. Make any necessary QoS or routing adjustments to optimize performance.

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.
