By: George LovingA COMBAT ACE’S ACCOUNT OF PILOTING THE GREATEST SINGLE-SEAT FIGHTER IN WORLD WAR II
World War II marked the end of an era; fighter pilots still flew by the seat of their pants, and George Loving recaptures the exhilarating world of aerial combat in all its stark terror and fiery glory. His first fighter was the famed Spitfire, hero of the Battle of Britain. By 1943, however, it was obsolescent and did not match up well against the first-line German Messerschmitts and Focke-Wulfs. Yet Loving survived 101 combat missions flying the Spitfire. In the spring of 1944, Loving’s 31st Fighter Group started flying P-51 Mustangs and was transferred to the new Fifteenth Air Force to escort heavy-bomber formations on long-range strategic strikes across southern Europe, including southeastern Germany. In the flak-filled skies over Ploesti, Vienna, Bucharest, Munich, and Stuttgart, where a number of the war’s fiercest air battles took place, Lieutenant Loving flew head-to-head against some of the Luftwaffe’s top fighter aces.
By the time George Loving completed his 151st, and final, combat mission on August 21, 1944, he had risen from a lowly second lieutenant and untested wingman to captain, group leader, and Mustang ace. Loving’s gripping account captures the savage action he experienced in all its intensity.

Helped me ace my final!
Format: Paperback
I strongly recommend this study guide to anyone who needs to understand and apply the pathophysiology in a final exam. The original book was the textbook for my pathophysiology course- it is over 1000 pages and overwhelming.
This study guide broke down the important aspects of each chapter into very doable practice questions. The answer guide at the back has perforations - so I tore mine out and it made it so much easier to follow along and study with this guide.
If you are struggling to learn/memorize/understand/apply all the pathophysiology concepts-I strongly suggest using this study guide. It really helped me get through my exam - and I am not a good test taker.
Good luck in your studies!

Helpful for exam preparation
Format: Paperback
This is helpful in getting me ready for exams. I fill it in and then study it with my other notes and resources before exams. The activities can be fun (crossword puzzle) or simple fill in the blank. I think I have found 1 or 2 errors that do not match up to the reading but I find errors in the online questions provided with the textbook as well. Helpful to absorb detailed topics. I appreciate that there are answers in the back also so I can ensure I have found the right answer. Love the section that provides hypothetical patient or family questions where I can take the knowledge and put it in layman's terms so I'm ready to explain the pathophysiology in basic terms when needed.

Important to Know
Format: Paperback
I very much like this study guide. It has helped me study for my exams. Some of my test questions have even come straight from this book. HOWEVER, I do caution anyone who buys this book to double check the answers. I have come across MULTIPLE typos and incorrect answers in the Answer Key. I like the content of this book, but for a professionally printed book, the overall completeness is poor.

Great purchase
Format: Paperback
This was a great addition to the textbook. The textbook was awful in my opinion but this study guide really explained it in a easy to understand and direct way. I love the matching, fill in the blank and most importantly the case studies. Really helps you figure out what you may encounter pathophysiology wise when caring for patients.
