Though it is worth noting that the gloss effect at 250mm/s will be different to at 150mm/s.
Recycleable AMS Compatible Spools
Panchroma Silk PLA filaments are all manufactured with a sealed cardboard edge, to deliver an environmentally friendly spool that is AMS compatible.
Compatible with your favourite 3D printers
Panchroma Silk PLA prints easily on most FDM 3D printers without requiring special hardware. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned maker, it delivers reliable adhesion and clean finishes at standard settings—right out of the box. While generic silk PLA often clogs, snaps, or dulls at high speeds, our formula resists all three. Enjoy faster prints with a shiny finish, reliable feeding, and greater durability—backed by strict QA for consistency in every spool.
Printing Settings
- Nozzle Temperature: 190°C - 230°C
- Build Plate Temperature: 25°C - 60°C
- Build Surface Material: Works well with most build surfaces i.e Glass, Blue Tape, BuildTak®
- Build Surface Treatment: Can apply Magigoo Original or PVA glue to the build surface to improve adhesion.
- Cooling Fan: ON
- Printing Speed: Up to 250mm/s*
- Recommended Support Material:
- Single Extrusion: Self Support
- Dual Extrusion: PolyDissolve™ S1 or PolySupport™
The above are printing recommendations based on 0.4 mm nozzle. Please note ideal printing conditions may vary depending on your 3D printer setup. For high speed 3D printers, make sure to increase your extrusion temperature in order to use higher printing speeds.
*The maximum speed is based on extrusion capability, not what speed the filament is glossy until. This formula offers significant advantage in gloss finish at high speed, though the speed at which gloss will decrease will vary depending on your layer height, 3D printer, nozzle type and chosen nozzle temperature.
Compatibility
Panchroma™ Silk PLA has been engineered with compatibility in mind to print excellently on a wide range of 3D printers.
Of course with thousands of unique 3d printer models on the market, we can't guarantee each filament type will work with every 3D printer. Slicer experience and setting adjustment is always required to get the most out of a material. Before jumping into an ambitious project we always recommend printing some known calibration tests to build or make adjustments to the filament profile.
