Grit Descriptions
- #200, #220, #400 ("Arato" Coarse) - Best for repairing damaged and very dull knives. Very abrasive and removes a lot of material.
- #1000 ("Nakoto" Medium) - Used for routine sharpening.
- #3000 ("Nakoto Shiage" Medium & Fine) - Ideal for creating a sharp, polished edge.
- #6000, #8000, #10000 ("Shiage" Fine) - Best for achieving a refined and ultra-sharp edge.
Nagura Stone & Stone Fixer
There are two essential accessories necessary to maintain the quality of a whetstone: the Stone Fixer and the Nagura Conditioning Stone.
