Deze badhanddoek van Foekje Fleur is een echte eyecatcher in je badkamer met zijn spannende kleurcombinaties. De badhanddoek is gemaakt van een zware kwaliteit katoen.   

De Ribbons-collectie van Foekje Fleur is een kleurrijke, zachte badtextielcollectie voor mensen die houden van handdoeken van hoge kwaliteit. Het streepjespatroon is geïnspireerd op een kast vol linten die Foekje bij een fourniturenwinkel zag. Dit patroon verschilt aan de voor- en achterkant, waardoor elke kant een eigen karakter heeft. Net als alle Odds & Ends-producten zijn deze handdoeken gemaakt van restgarens, maar voor Ribbons zijn de garens dichter geweven, wat resulteert in een zachte en zeer absorberende kwaliteit van 550 g/m². 

Bijzonder is dat de handdoeken gemaakt zijn van resten fabrieksgaren. Dat zit zo: fabrieken verven altijd wat extra garen, zodat ze zeker genoeg hebben. Vaak blijven deze echter ongebruikt. Hartstikke zonde natuurlijk van dit mooie materiaal! Het Odds & Ends textiel is zo ontworpen, dat het maximale uit deze restanten wordt gehaald, en tegelijkertijd onverwachte, interessante kleurcombinaties ontstaan.

Werken met restmateriaal betekent ook dat de handdoeken onderling iets van elkaar kunnen verschillen. Tijdens de productie raken de restjes op en worden ze vervangen door vergelijkbare kleuren. Dit verkleint kleine variaties binnen een batch.

Great fit, good added comfort, long dry time

I got the regular twin size for my toddler’s bed. Before, he had a yellow foam topper (one of the cheap ones) and a mattress protector that barely stretched to the bottom of the mattress. I LOVE that this is such a deep fit so I didn’t need to worry about it coming up a lot. We have a standard size twin mattress. For breathability, it does seem like it might trap heat- it is very warm to lay on the mattress now, but that doesn’t bother us. It is comfortable to lay on the mattress. I don’t think it is as thick as the foam topper we had, but that was expected. For a waterproof topper, it’s a pretty good fluffiness. Washing: Hours fit in our washing machine fine. However, I did have to dry it three times. You can’t dry it with anything else or whatever else is in there gets bundled up inside it. I didn’t take a star off for this because we generally have to run loads a second time in our dryer anyways, and it might be because of the weight that it takes longer to dry. overall, I am happy with the purchase! My toddler’s bed is much more “in place” with the sheets, it’s still comfortable and the cost is worth the money to me.
