‘Vaccinium corymbosum Brigitta Blue’ is een Amerikaanse blauwe bes, ook wel bosbes. De struik heeft dunne takken en kleine frisgroene bladeren. De vruchten zijn stevig, lichtblauw met een goede smaak. Ze zijn te plukken half juli tot half augustus. Vers zijn de blauwe bessen een week te bewaren en je kan ze ook invriezen. De blauwe bes bloeit in trossen en de bloem is witcrème tot roze van kleur. De bloei is in de eerste helft van mei. Deze plant is geheel zelfbestuivend en heeft bijna geen verzorging nodig. De bessen zijn niet heel erg aantrekkelijk voor vogels, maar soms kan het afdekken van de planten toch nodig zijn. De ‘Brigitta Blue’ is een soort die het goed doet op vrijwel alle grondsoorten.
