De skidplate komt onder de motor en beschermt het carter tegen stenen, takken, bomen, modder en meer. Het is mogelijk om over stenen of bomen heen te glijden met deze carter beschermer. De caterbeschermer heeft een unieke vormgeving, zo loopt hij aan de voorkant omhoog voor extra bescherming en om te voorkomen dat hij zand gaat happen.

Deze XL caterbeschermer, ook wel skidplate genoemd, van Touratech is gemaakt voor de BMW R 1200 GS LC en Adventure. De skidplate komt onder de motor en beschermt het carter tegen stenen, takken, bomen, modder en meer. Het is mogelijk om over stenen of bomen heen te glijden met deze carter beschermer.

De caterbeschermer heeft een unieke vormgeving, zo loopt hij aan de voorkant omhoog voor extra bescherming en om te voorkomen dat hij zand gaat happen. In het midden zitten twee kunststof geleiders voor extra bescherming wanneer je over stenen of een bomstam heen moet.

They may perform better on a brick wall, but on drywall you should be cautious. To fix the problem, I had to purchase floating shelf brackets for support, which solved the sagging issue. However, this defeats the purpose of the “floating” aesthetic. Since the shelf is in my bedroom, I can overlook it, but I personally wouldn’t install these in a common area if I wanted a clean floating look.
