Zigbee is een communicatieprotocol dat net zoals Wifi en bluetooth ervoor zorgt dat slimme apparaten met elkaar communiceren. Zo verbindt je met deze draadloze Zigbee-Gateway bijvoorbeeld de alpina Smart home bewegingssensor, watermelder, raam- en deursensor of de luchtvochtigheidsmeter en klimaatsensor met elkaar. Zowel de Zigbee-gateway als de aangesloten apparaten kun je bedienen en instellen middels de alpina Smart home app.De Zigbee-gateway installerenOm de alpina Smart home Zigbee-gateway te gebruiken download je allereerst de alpina Smart home app in de Google Play Store of de Apple App store. Wanneer deze gedownload is open je de app op je smarthone en maak je, wanneer je deze nog niet hebt, een account aan of log je in op een bestaand account. Klik vervolgens op het '+' om de Zigbee-gateway toe te voegen. Wanneer het apparaat toegevoegd is aan de app steek je deze simpelweg in een stopcontact. Wanneer de resetknop niet knippert hou je deze vijf seconden ingedrukt. Wanneer de resetknop knippert bevestig je dit in de app. Bevestig vervolgens het wifinetwerk en je wachtwoord. Voer vervolgens een naam in voor het apparaat. De Zigbee-gateway is nu klaar om te gebruiken.Verbind tot 50 apparatenWanneer de Zigbee-gateway geïnstalleerd is en in verbinding staat met de alpina Smart home app kun je tot wel 50 apparaten aan de Zigbee-gateway verbinden. Denk daarbij bijvoorbeeld aan de alpina Smart home bewegingssensor, watermelder, raam- en deursensor, hygrometer of luchtvochtigheidsmeter en de klimaat sensor. Dankzij de Zigbee-gateway kunnen deze verschillende apparaten met elkaar communiceren. De werking van zowel de Zigbee-gateway als de verschillende alpina Smart home Zigbee apparaten kun je beheren in de alpina Smart home app. Een groot voordeel van de communicatie tussen deze Smart home producten is dat het bereik en de betrouwbaarheid van het hele netwerk toeneemt met ieder apparaat dat je toevoegt.Draadloos ontwerp en energiezuinigDe alpina Smart home Zigbee-gateway is volledig draadloos. Om de hub te gebruiken hoef je deze enkel in het stopcontact te steken en met je wifi-netwerk te verbinden. Wanneer de Zigbee-gateway in de alpina Smart home app geïnstalleerd is kun je via je wifi netwerk ook andere sensoren en apparaten aan de Zigbee-gateway verbinden. Het draadloze bereik van de Zigbee-gateway is maximaal 90 meter. Een ander groot voordeel aan de Zigbee hub is dat deze energiezuinig en betaalbaar is. The stainless steel caddy quality is fine, the sticker was easy to install on the inside of my stainless steel sink. I initially used the small movable arm to hang on the hooks, and it did not keep the caddy in place. Anytime it was hit, it fell off or tilted off the hooks. Customer service followed up with me on my purchase, gave me the correct instructions with a picture, and I was able to snap the caddy into the hooks. They were responsive, listened to my concerns and answered my questions, and now it works great. I would recommend this.

Negative reviews are misleading it definitely works just fine.

Noticed the only negative reviews were because the hooks would not fit and was sort of concerned about that, but I figured it might be one of those things where it’s the person’s fault not the product. Sure enough it was. The hook fits, yea you have to push it in there with a slight bit of force, but it definitely does fit. What those people don’t realize is that by design the hooks are like that to keep a firm hold onto the tray itself. I found it funny how mad people were about that when really it’s very very simple to make it work. Nice product sticks well, seems sturdy.

Good product, lousy instructions

This is a good product with terrible instructions. I’ve used this adhesive strip before so I know how to install the basket & how to remove the strip. To get a snug fit position one of the basket's vertical wires in the middle of one of the horizontal bars then press down hard until you hear it snap into place, it’s now snug & will not tip over. To remove the adhesive strip I used a putty knife & wiggled it underneath the strip until I had loosened & lifted enough of it to get a good grip & pull the rest off. Mine is installed on a ceramic tile back splash not in the sink so this method did not damage the tile, can't say what it would do to stainless steel. I'm a 72 y/o woman with arthritis, if I can get the adhesive off anyone can.
