I realised how very short a human life is - that the wheels of life will turn seamlessly without me - that my existence will quickly fade into oblivion. This was both scary and relieving and brought me face to face with the stark reality of the impermanence of all things. Realising I was merely a traveller passing through this eden brought some new level of freedom, a settling new confidence that unfettered me from fear and inspired me to live more present time... more now, here, this.
