Going from naturally serene to aggressively stormy, the Farm Pedal Forest Floor Fuzz is an exceptional addition to the Farm Pedals canon and fuzz fans' boards. The Forest Floor, a dual gain stage germanium and silicon diode fuzz, balances familiar fuzzy characteristics with no-holds-barred wildness for the wilderness.
The Forest Floor Fuzz, a handmade piece from Casco, Maine's very own literally farm-raised Farm Pedals, presents an intriguing mix of fuzz and drive for your listening and playing pleasure. Farm's patented home-grown effect alchemy is well on display with a tonal profile that spans warm and reserved to dark and sputtering. The Forest Floor's three-dial setup allows for interesting effect mixing as each parameter leans on the others. Volume, Fuzz, and Bias controls all mingle in this fuzz gumbo – roll back the volume, nudge the fuzz, and max the bias to get a reliable, warm and fuzzy drive. Punch the fuzz and minimize the bias and get a wild and chokey distortion ready for those to dare to tame it. The Forest Floor is distinctly dark and creamy for playing well with any amp or guitar – clarity and fidelity be darned.
