Product Introduction:
Admiral Graf Spee, commissioned in 1936, was faster than battleships and more powerful in firepower than cruisers. She was also the first German warship to be equipped with a search radar, with a speed of 28.5 knots and two triple mounted 280mm SK C/28 naval guns as the main guns.
During the Spanish Civil War, she was transferred to Spanish waters five times. After the outbreak of war, she began to operate as a raiding ship in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, with the mission of attacking British merchant ships and avoiding combat with dominant enemy forces, thereby threatening the important supply lines of the Allies and restraining the activities of the British navy in other parts of the world.
During the war, she sank 9 allied cargo ships (totaling 50089 tons). In 1939, Admiral Graf Spee was forced to sink shortly after the Battle of the mouth of the La Plata River.
