A big and beautiful SILBERDISTEL floor vase 12/40 dressed in their highly coveted, textural glaze, here in shades of orange and brown with hints of yellow and green.  Fully marked on the base.

SILBERDISTEL (named for a kind of silver thistle native to the Austrian and Swiss Alps) was founded in 1947 by Johann and Grete Breu in Gevelsberg in the western German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.  The company was managed early on by the ceramicist Walter A. Heufelder (b.1926).  Its fortunes got a major boost in 1952 following its participation in a joint exhibition with the Worms Terra Sigillata Manufaktur at the Hanover fair.  By the mid '50s, the company had to hire a complement of 23 employees to meet demand.  Nevertheless the factory would always remain a small studio pottery, despite the remarkable expansion of the German ceramics industry over the next two decades.

SILBERDISTEL made a very high quality, artisanal line of vases, bowls, jugs, and other ceramic objects.  It became well known for the craftsman-like manner of its production as well as the extraordinary range of complex glazes that were employed.  Often several glazes of different colors were fused one on top of the other.  Technicians spent months perfecting such glazes in time-consuming experiments before they were deemed reliable.  Many early items were offered under the name 'Craquelé-Fayencen' which, as the name suggests, described a fine, crackle glaze that was produced through the mid '60s.  Beginning in 1957, the company also put out pieces with a number of hand-painted décors.  However SILBERDISTEL is surely best known for its stunning range of volcanic and thick lava glazes produced in the 1960s.  The brand was taken over by Carstens in 2005 and has since been manufactured in Rheinsberg, a small town 75 km north of Berlin.

SILBERDISTEL used a light white clay exclusively.  Unlike most other companies, its pieces are almost never marked with the typical 'W Germany' or 'Germany'—very rarely a stamp reading 'WEST GERMANY' was used.  Markings usually comprise simply the form number and size scratched by hand into the clay, with occasionally an impressed 'Silberdistel' stamp added to the base.  Frequently items were produced with small green felt circles attached to the base, many examples of which are still seen today.

Pack's Promise was okay but not great
Format: Kindle
Pack's Promise was okay but not great. I won't recommend it to anyone that I know. PRO: * Very likable characters * Lots of steamy scenes that are written very well * The spelling and grammar are good * The punctuation is good with the exception of using hyphens instead of commas. Lots of hyphens. Lots and lots of hyphens. CON: * Almost no interactions with any characters outside of Madison and the pack * Nearly no plot. They meet, get together for a heat, agree to make it permanent, done * Quite a few typos such as extraneous words, missing words and words out of order THINGS TO KNOW: * More steamy scenes than storytelling * A lot of MM & MMM, some MFMM during heat

Fluffy and Nice Omegaverse
Format: Kindle
… this would have made 5 stars but for 2 reasons. A.) there were quite a few typos; misspelled words, missing quotations, “the his” mistakes, and various signs that maybe a proofread would do good. B.) the writing was quite textbook. Late blooming omega is struggling with her new self, finds a absurdly wealthy pack of alphas, every thing is almost insta-love but she resists, then decides to love herself and let everyone be happy. Rian was my favourite (obviously the author’s favourite too because he got the most page time) but I wish we could see more of his CEO side? He went to work maybe ONCE the entire time. Gray was supposed to be the “growly one” but he turned out to be puppy dog. Lucas was a genius brainiac doctor - but also super alpha with an aggressive hindbrain with a breeding k*nk?? And then there was no actual “breeding”?? Spice 3/5 - normally omegaverse books are super high on messy smut but this was tamer. Romance 3/5 - insta-love that was then resisted because of personal hangup’s Plot 2/5 - weird paced head hopping, showing the same scene from different POV’s that made me feel like it was 2 steps backward, 1 step forward. Humour 4/5 - there were a dozen lines that genuinely made me chuckle out loud Would have been five stars but the lack of proofreading and the predictable plot made me unable to get up to ADORED IT level - four stars is still and official ENJOYED IT, y’all. This isn’t a bad rating. The “Club Heat” has intriguing possibilities so I’m going to give the second one a shot.

A good read
Format: Kindle
A good read, just fluffy cuteness, no antagonism. I like all the characters. It could have used another round of editing however, glanfds being one error that cracked me up, and my personal pet peeve was that the author kept using the word fill instead of feel, which I promise you are not interchangeable haha, but it's definitely better than the majority of books I read on here mistake-wise.

amazing
Format: Kindle
Knot the Bride was a fantastic read! The characters were all amazing and well-developed. It was easy to like them all. Sophia, Luca, Nick, and Gavin were all perfect for each other. It was such a charming story that had me hooked the entire time. I did wish there were POVs from Luca, Nick, and Gavin but it was still an amazing book without it. I am excited to read the next book in the Willowside Omegaverse series! This is definitely a must-read for fans of omegaverse romance!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
