Description:
France is the most-visited country in the world. It attracts millions of tourists, most of whom come in search of beautiful architecture, good food, and fine art. But appearances can be deceptive. France is not only a place of culture and glamour; it also carries the bitter memories of violence, division and broken promises. In this arresting book, Emile Chabal, a leading specialist of contemporary France, tells the story of a paradoxical country. From the calamitous defeat by Hitler's armies in 1940 to the spectacular gilets jaunes protests, he explores the contradictions that have shaped French history over the last eighty years. The picture that emerges is one of a nation struggling to reconcile its core political values with the realities of a diverse society.Listen to the author talk about the book with Roxanne Panchasi on the New Books Network Podcast

A Really Good Product
Style: Trim & Plastic Restorer, 12 fl. oz.
This is the best black vinyl restorer I've used. Some products don't dry completely and run with the first rain, leaving streaks that are unsightly. It restore blackness that lasts.

Great product

This makes my 15 year-old car look brand new… And in my experience, it lasts for several months before it needs re-application.
Super easy… Just make sure the car surface is very clean and very dry and there won’t be any rain within a day or so.

Not long lasting
Style: Trim & Plastic Restorer, 12 fl. oz.
Works well but might need multiple coats to get to shinny. Not long lasting.

Time will tell
Style: Trim & Plastic Restorer, 12 fl. oz., Style: Trim & Plastic Restorer, 12 fl. oz.
I sprayed off the shutters before using. Then applied the product. It’s a thicker, white liquid. (Think lotion) it applied easily and dried quickly since it was being absorbed into the plastic shutters and aluminum windows; mine were very ‘thirsty’ from being in the direct afternoon sunlight. I like how I didn’t have to worry if one part rcvd more product than another. It blended easily.
I think it looks good, but so did using other products over the years. I was told by a neighbor that this was the best product to use on them and other plastics. Time will tell if it holds up.
