About Tegu
Tegu's name is derived from Tegucigalpa*, the capital city of Honduras, where they manufacture Tegu blocks in their factory. Helping the nation of Honduras is a foundational priority of their company; you'll find this is everything they do, starting with their name.
Made with beautiful Central American Eco-friendly, sustainably-sourced hardwoods and safe water-based finishes, these blocks "click-clack" together. When harvested responsibly, wood is the most sustainable material available.
That's why they work with local Honduran cooperatives who individually hand pick each mature tree for use. They plant trees by the dozen too! With every set sold, they donate to local reforestation efforts in Honduras. Ages 1+.
