Origins & Craftsmanship
Distilled and bottled in Loretto, Kentucky, Maker’s Mark has been handcrafted since 1958 with a distinctive focus on smoothness and quality. Unlike most traditional bourbons that use rye grain for spice, Maker’s Mark uses soft red winter wheat as the secondary grain, giving it a round, mellow sweetness.
The mash bill is approximately 70% corn, 16% wheat, and 14% malted barley, creating a soft and balanced spirit. It’s aged in new charred American white-oak barrels, hand-rotated in temperature-controlled warehouses to ensure even maturation. Every bottle is hand-dipped in red wax, a signature hallmark of the brand’s meticulous craftsmanship. Bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof), Maker’s Mark delivers both richness and approachability in perfect measure.
